At Crinkle Cat Tales I focus on quality content and resources for ABDLs. For a long time I avoided discussing politics in the ABDL community. I wanted everyone to feel welcome no matter their views. Most of the time that worked. The 2026 General Election, the results that followed, and talks with people in the community changed my mind. It is time to talk about politics in the ABDL community.
What happened on Election Night came from people voting their conscience. Many Americans feel the same pressures right now. Costs for gas and groceries keep rising. Affordable healthcare stays hard to find. Tariffs hurt the economy. The war with Iran adds global tension. These problems touch almost everyone. Some people in our community also feel less safe than they did before Donald Trump first became president.
For years many people pushed back against politics in ABDL and kink spaces. Some wanted to keep the headspace pure and free from outside news. Others simply disliked talk that challenged their beliefs. Many of us stayed quiet to respect those wishes. That approach no longer fits. Politics shape our daily lives more than ever. It is no longer just about comparing candidates. It is about real conditions that affect our quality of life and the lives of people around us.
I still want to get along with people across the ABDL and babyfur community. I will admit I have stopped talking with a few individuals. The reason was not their political beliefs. It was that they made attacking anyone who disagreed a core part of who they are. Those voices are the ones still defending the Trump administration. Most people outside that far-right circle saw the clear need for change. History shows the two major parties often trade control in midterms. What we saw this time felt like a real reckoning.
The ABDL community faces special risks. People who do not understand us often push laws based on stereotypes and bigotry. Kink communities share the same danger. That risk grows when the Republicans holds too much power in Congress. Every future election is a chance to protect the space we have. We need to show up and vote the same way so many of us did in November 2026. That is how we keep ourselves safer.
Politics in the ABDL community is no longer something we can ignore. The pressures of daily life and the need for basic safety make the conversation necessary. Vote with your conscience. Stay informed. Protect the community we share.
