Purring Through the Storm: Why I Don’t Engage in AB/DL Drama

I want to address something that’s been on my mind for a while: community drama and my policy on engaging with it. I know that in the adult baby/diaper lover (ABDL) and babyfur communities, emotions can run high, and disagreements can escalate quickly. People have asked me to weigh in occasionally, so I decided to put something together that explains in a convenient write-up about my policy for addressing drama.

Every moment spent engaging in drama is a moment not spent writing or doing something creative. I want to dedicate my time and energy to creating new stories and characters for you to enjoy. That’s where my passion lies, and I believe that’s what you expect from me as well.

Everyone has their own opinions and preferences, and that’s what makes our community so diverse and vibrant. I respect that, and I don’t want to disrespect anyone by getting involved in heated debates or arguments. Back when I had a lot of time on my paws and felt the need to stand out, I felt compelled to address every subject raised in “the discourse,” but it never served any meaningful purpose.

And let’s face it, drama can be stressful and exhausting. As someone who values their mental health and the mental health of others, I choose to step away from situations that could potentially be harmful.

Lastly, I believe that we all want the same thing: a strong, supportive, and loving community. Engaging in drama only serves to divide us, and I don’t want to contribute to that.

That said, there will always be a time and place to address something, especially when the drama is directed at me. And even when that happens, I will pick and choose my battles carefully. Any statements I make will be readily found on my social media profiles.

I’m aware of many of the conversations that take place on social media. How can I not be? But if I don’t respond or engage, it’s not because I’m being aloof; it’s because I rather spend time creating content and developing resources that people actually need than interacting in a negative space.

Hope this clears things up a bit!

With love and purrs,

Crinkle Cat

P.S. If you ever have concerns or questions about my work or the community, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me privately. I’m always here to listen and help.
