How AB/DLs Can Fight Back Against Harassment

How to Fight Back

If you’ve been in the AB/DL or babyfur scene for a while, you already know the drill. Every couple of months, the same tired outrage bait hits social media. Bad actors chase clout by painting us as something we’re not, and suddenly the entire community is forced to line up and post the same defensive paragraph: “We only play with consenting adults 18+.”

It’s exhausting. Event organizers bend the knee. Good people burn out. And the cycle repeats.

As both a proud AB/DL and babyfur author and a professional marketing and public relations specialist with years in crisis communications, I’m done watching us play defense on their turf. It’s time to flip the script. Today I’m sharing the exact strategy I use for brands under fire — adapted specifically for our community. This isn’t theory. It’s a practical reputation-shielding plan that actually works.

Let’s build a stronger, safer space together.

Why the Endless Defense Loop Hurts Us

Every time we scramble to post “consenting adults only,” we accidentally reinforce the false narrative that the topic even needs debating. We hand the harassers the microphone.

Regressive ageplay has nothing to do with minors. Full stop. Ageplay is, by definition, consensual role-playing between adults where partners temporarily act out different ages. That’s it. That’s the entire kink.

But repeating ourselves every 60 days makes us look reactive and guilty by default. PR 101: the side that controls the narrative wins. It’s time we controlled ours.

The Community Pact (Your New “Tap the Sign” Iron Wall)

Here’s the single most effective tool I recommend: a short, unified Community Pact (or “Constitution” if you prefer the fancy name).

Think of it as a one-page, professionally written declaration that every AB/DL and babyfur creator, account, and event page pins to their profile.

This sample pact can read as follows:

The AB/DL & Babyfur Community Pact

We, members of the Adult Baby / Diaper Lover (AB/DL) and babyfur communities, affirm the following core principles:

  1. Adults Only All activities, relationships, roleplay, content creation, events, and interactions within our communities are exclusively between consenting adults aged 18 years and older. There is zero tolerance for any involvement of minors in any form — real or depicted.
  2. Ageplay Definition & Consent Ageplay (including regressive ageplay, DDLG / CG/L dynamics, and related expressions) is a consensual role-playing kink practiced between adults. Participants temporarily adopt roles representing different ages or levels of maturity as part of mutual, informed, enthusiastic adult consent. It has no connection to real minors and never involves or simulates non-consensual acts with children.
  3. Zero Tolerance for Harm We reject and condemn any form of child exploitation, pedophilia, grooming, or content that sexualizes minors. Such behavior is not part of our communities and is actively opposed.
  4. Harassment & False Accusations Coordinated harassment, doxxing, defamation, outing, or bad-faith outrage campaigns targeting our members are unacceptable. We document such incidents and support pursuing appropriate platform reports, legal remedies, and event security measures when they occur.
  5. Community Commitment By displaying or linking to this Pact, individuals, creators, accounts, groups, and events publicly declare adherence to these standards. This unified statement protects our joyful, consensual adult space and eliminates the need for repeated individual defenses.

What the Pact should say should you create your own (simple template you can copy/adapt):

  • We support only consensual activity between adults 18+.
  • Ageplay is consensual role-playing between adults.
  • We reject any involvement with minors in any capacity.
  • Harassment, doxxing, or false accusations against our community will be documented and pursued through proper channels.

That’s it. Short. Clear. Legal-sounding enough to scare off casual trolls.

Link it in your bio. Pin it on X, Bluesky, Telegram, Discord, FetLife, whatever. Add a cute little “Tap the sign for our official stance” emoji banner.

Why this works like magic:

  • New followers or journalists see your position in 3 seconds.
  • You never have to type the defensive paragraph again — just reply “Pact in bio ❤️”
  • It creates the appearance of an organized, professional community (which we are).

Stay Vigilant — Document, Identify, Escalate

A pact alone isn’t enough. We also need to treat harassment like the professional threat it is.

  1. Document everything Screenshots, timestamps, usernames, platform links. Use a shared community Google Drive (with proper privacy settings) or a private Discord channel run by trusted moderators.
  2. Identify the harassers Most run the same 5–10 accounts on rotation. Track patterns. When they jump platforms, we already know who they are.
  3. Event-specific harassment Immediately forward the documented campaign to convention security, venue public safety, and the organizers’ legal counsel. Frame it correctly: “This is a coordinated harassment campaign targeting paying attendees.” Venues hate liability — they’ll act faster than you think.
  4. Non-event harassment Treat it as the criminal/civil matter it often is. Harassers who dox, threaten, or launch false accusations are the ones engaging in unsavory (and frequently illegal) behavior. Forward bundles to platform trust & safety teams, and when patterns show defamation or stalking, consult a lawyer about cease-and-desist or police reports.

Pro tip: the louder they scream, the more evidence they create against themselves. Stay calm, stay documented, and let their own words bury them.

Let’s Make This the New Normal

Imagine a world where every major AB/DL and babyfur account has the Pact pinned. Where replying to trolls is as simple as “Pact in bio.” Where event organizers can point to a unified community standard instead of panicking.

That world is one copy-paste away.

Your action steps right now:

  • Draft or copy the Pact template above.
  • Pin it to every profile today.
  • Share this blog post and tag three friends with “Let’s do this.”
  • Start a private documentation channel in your favorite server.

We are not the problem. We are a joyful, consensual, adult community that deserves to exist without constant explanation.

The harassers want us reactive. Let’s be proactive instead.

Sincerely,

Crinkle Cat
